Why not try Yoga
I thought after adding a ‘try yoga’ posting to the website that I should perhaps try yoga out for myself. So deeply sceptical of such perceived spiritual type form of exercise I gave it a go. I went with one of our trainers, Frances, out onto Clapham Common to do a one to one session and made myself keep an open mind. We started with some deep breathing meditational type exercise and I strangely found this quite relaxing. Then into a very basic ‘salute to the sun routine’ which I found much more difficult to do than I thought. Frances made sure my technique was perfect and thus I couldn’t cheat using brute strength. I found myself really enjoying it and because it was new I had to concentrate solely on what I was doing and thus cleared de-cluttered my mind. I have since practised once per week and intend to continue to do so. Why not then, try yoga?
