Possible trends for 2010

Here are a number of predictions for what might be the fitness trends for 2010.
- Functional and outdoor training, although functional training has been around a while now I think trainers will really start to apply it more to their sessions. We certainly will be. As a whole we intend to head back to basics.
- Increase in demand for Pilates and Yoga to combat stress, which seems to increase with each year.
- Small group training, to cut costs and drag friends and relatives into exercise.
- Greater use of computer games (wii-fit etc) across the full age ranges, its great way to get clients to do additional training in their own time.
- Finally, boxing/martial arts type fitness. This sort of exercise is no longer perceived as just being for men. We’ve already seen an increase in demand for it.
So lets get through Christmas and look forward to seeing what happens next year.
