What is Tabata?

Tabata or Tabata Intervals are named after a Japanese scientist called Dr Izumi Tabata who published a study in 1996 comparing conventional aerobic exercise with High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). They consist of exercise intervals, based on his study, of 8 20 second all out sprints on a stationary cycle with a 10 second slow peddling rest in between. Manage your imputs. To loose weight most effectively exercise must be combined with a sensible eating regime. That is not to say a radical diet of any kind, more just common sense. So eat less. Take at least a 3rd of the food you would normally prepare for yourself off of the plate and save it for the next lunchtime or something.
