Time for a holiday

August is upon us and like most of my clients I have a holiday too. Its generally the quiet month of the year and thus the most convenient for most for me to go away. Getting into the final quarter of the cricket season now too. The team (Iden Cricket Club, Sussex)  is doing much better now, a good draw and a couple of wins pulling us away from relegation trouble. Its also my final MCC probationary game today, I need to do very well with both the bat and …

Back in form at last

As I may have mentioned in previous blogs I have been having a enjoyable cricket season but have been in rubbish form with the bat myself. Well thankfully that has at last changed with a good midweek score and an even better score and result on the Saturday in the league. See you on Thursday for more, and we will keep pushing for more and more of the same. Michael

Its also best to train either early mornings, which are amazing at at this time of year (6am – 9am) or later evenings (7pm-9pm). If your fancying a few beer garden drinks earn them first with a training session. I must admit, I’m due a couple this evening, which I’m very much looking forward to. Enjoy the …

Core Training aids cricket performance

After what can only be described as a horrendous start to the cricket season for me with the bat, things have finally improved this week. I decided to train my core on the morning of the game, which I don’t normally do, and I played much better in the afternoon. I doubt whether physiologically this helped my performance, but it probably did help mentally. I concentrated much better that’s is for sure. Personal training wise, with a couple of clients away this and next week not much to tell. L.I-W …
