It’s very dark and there’s a terrible noise, it’s my alarm clock and its 4.50am. Once the initial shock is over and I’m in the car off up to London, I find that I quite like being up early. I used to play lots of golf, but as they say ‘you can’t do everything’ and hence golf has slipped a long way down my priority list. A good friend of mine has asked me to play tomorrow in his cricket clubs annual golf day and I said yes. Broadplace, the latest rubbish google adwords company to promise much and deliver sod all and in fact are much less effective than doing it all by yourself. So the lessons I’ve learned from this are; spend what you would spend on some muppet 3rd party company on increases in your monthly adwords budget and things will improve. Ignore all companies that call you out of the blue (cold call) you. They are always going to say negative stuff about your advertising etc so you feel you need them to improve your …

We went to Ireland on Wednesday for a wedding on the Friday. I thought it would be a good idea to get the overnight ferry from Swansea to Cork. This, despite the fact that I get sea-sick. When captain Jackson announced that we would experience moderate seas I was very pleased, this did not last though as he followed up by saying he would deploy the stabilizers for the entire journey, I was now very worried indeed. Back from my holiday, having had a great time in sunny Somerset. The diet has been a bit dodgy, we were away with some friends who are massive drinkers so that didn’t help. We were staying near a size-able hill called ‘Brent Knoll’ so early in the morning I went up, great views though a bit windy up there, raised the heart rate nicely.
