Torture training session for chirpy client

The clue is in the title but to explain a bit further. I have a particular client that I train who’s name I can’t mention but it sounds a bit like “O’Cakie”. She has been a little bit chirpy online line via her blog and its comments section and so it was that we squeezed not 1, but 2 unpleasant fitness tests into her session this morning. ‘The Longest Day’ training starts tomorrow

So it is that after an idiotic throw away comment (not by me) during our Tuesday session last week at least two un-named clients and I are power walking a marathon. This may not sound like a huge deal, but it will be very hilly and without the added motivation of much of a crowd plus it’s not exactly normal behaviour for them. Freezing my arse off

This weather thing is starting to get a bit much. Its much improved with the snow mostly gone but it seems seems very cold indeed. Mind you it is mid winter so what to we expect. Its better than the doom and gloom of rising sea levels due to global warming etc. Care should be taken when exercising in this weather, a hat and gloves a must, plus plenty of layers, these can always be removed and carried by your trainer/tied round your waist (‘to cover my fat arse’ as …

Strange or not

The question is, am I strange? This is certainly how a client described me the other day when I suggested going out for a brisk walk/run during some rain (fairly heavy rain). My reasoning was that I very much liked exercising in the rain. I find it refreshing and nice to be out when no one else is or would be. When I train on my own I often choose to do so when the weather is terrible. Needless to say, the client in question thought me insane, mind you, …
