A Mini adventure

Happily driving back from London on Monday in ‘The Mini’ when the truck in the middle lane, I was just about to over take in the outside lane, had a very loud and messy blow out and veared all over the place. I was in pole position to get wacked into so I put my foot down not quite making it past as the truck banged into the rear wing nearly spinning me before smashing into the central reservation and closing the M25. Having been perfect regarding her dietary inputs for a good while now, in trying circumstances I should add, it all went wrong. The list includes; Pizza, hot at the time and cold for breakfast, chocolate, namely Ferrero Rocher, Chinese and much more. Binge is the right word and binge she did. …

Longest Day training intensity increases

As mentioned a while ago a couple clients have decided they want to power walk a marathon. Training began a while ago but for various reasons has not been as intensive as necessary. Today that all changes with an up the anti 2 hour very brisk walk in the sun. On the day the walk will consist of a lap of the Tunbridge Wells Circular Walk (27 miles) on the 26th of June, as close to the longest day as we could get. This is a beautiful but quite hilly circuit that …
