Well thankfully that has at last changed with a good midweek score and an even better score and result on the Saturday in the league. Some of my clients are mighty relieved (L.I-W, J.V, R.V) about this as they are generally fed up with my complaining about various misfortunes. It also means that cricket based exercise routines should be reduced as I no longer need to practice. Relief all round. Looking forward to a good game this weekend. Hope all goes well for everyone this weekend too. Michael

Well done L.I-W, the plateau is at last defeated. After weeks of hard work and frustration, body fat reduction has begun again for a certain client. She is one very determined individual, that’s for sure. Impossible seems to be meaningless for her, if only everyone thought that way. So this is a special blog just for you to say well done indeed. See you on Thursday for more, and we will keep pushing for more and more of the same. Michael

After what can only be described as a horrendous start to the cricket season for me with the bat, things have finally improved this week. I decided to train my core on the morning of the game, which I don’t normally do, and I played much better in the afternoon. I doubt whether physiologically this helped my performance, but it probably did help mentally. I concentrated much better that’s is for sure. I decided to train my core on the morning of the game, which I don’t normally do, and I played much better in the afternoon. I doubt whether physiologically this helped my performance, but it probably did help mentally. I concentrated much better that’s is for sure. Personal training wise, with a couple of clients away this and next week not much to tell. L.I-W did really well yesterday when she achieved what she deemed as impossible by getting from the ground (her garden) back to her wheelchair completely unaided. This may seem relatively minor in the scheme of things but lets just say that for her it dramatically improves her independence, and means that picnic’s in a parks open spaces are no longer out of the questions. Well done, great effort. Michael

Its been a long while since I had a sports massage which I used to do on a weekly basis to maintain mobility in a tired body. On Sunday evening though I had one of the best I’ve ever had from Amy. My lower back was fine, but upper back very stiff and tense, after a good hour and just to right ratio of pressure:pain I was feeling much better. The next morning I felt a bit like I had trained hard the day before, but when it came to my normal Monday row in the gym I rowed as well as I have for a long time. Needless to say I will be making massage a regular occurance again. Its important to look after ourselves after all and lets face it, its rather pleasant.
