Paradox

I’m happy with my weight loss this week. I’ve only lost 0.66 pounds this week, but I’ve actually lost 5.5 pounds. Say what? Let me explain.
You know when people say that they only need to look at certain foods to gain weight? Welcome to my world. If I dared to eat bad carbs, I gain excessive weight. This Monday, following my celebratory weekend away, (where I chose to take a break from my regime), I had gained 4.84 pounds.

That Spring Feeling…

I had an amazing weekend, away from my health and fitness regime, no regrets, it helps me to have a weekend off now and again, and come back refreshed. Life is always so much better with a bit of sunshine.
I had a great session today with Michael, fun, challenging and exciting. It is also encouraging to have him review my food diary and say complimentary things.

Oh the drama!

I’ve had a great week where I’d given it my all. I’ve had great sessions with Michael, exercised like mad on my own and I’ve stuck religiously to my diet. Yesterday, I even packed my own measured healthy lunch whilst lunching out, refused that glass of champagne, offer of chocolates, nothing was going to distract me from my regime this week, not even one little snack, especially as I have a celebration planned for the weekend and will be having a day off my regime!

Cold Turkey

My name is Linda, I’m a weighaholic. It’s been three days since I last weighed myself.
I had gotten into the habit of weighing and recording my weight daily, tracking in my food and fitness diary, and even tracking on an online site with all sorts of impressive graphs and statistics. Saturday – Official Weigh-in Day!

My difficulties with losing weight mean that I treat my weight loss journey like a military campaign. I know I shouldn’t (sorry Michael) and I’m trying to wean myself from the habit of weighing every day. It has some advantages especially when I introduce new food or exercise, but of course it has disadvantages.
OK, enough already with the preamble. Get on with it woman!
