Sport for Kids…

This is week I’m not just doing PT, I have been working with school nurses on a project on how to get over weight kids in to playing sport. We have been working on fun but active games and also how to get the parents involved with the kids training, it has been very fun but hard work. I will be travelling around South London giving talks and work shops on ways to get every kid in school  playing sport and exercise, bit like Jamie Oliver in the gym.

Good old skipping…

Good old fashioned skipping, still brilliantexercise now and great fun to do with clients. For the best results compete with your clients, either who can do the most or who can do the most in a set time i.e. 1 minute, garenteed to get them to maximise their effort. Cold Turkey

My name is Linda, I’m a weighaholic. It’s been three days since I last weighed myself.
I had gotten into the habit of weighing and recording my weight daily, tracking in my food and fitness diary, and even tracking on an online site with all sorts of impressive graphs and statistics. On Sunday, (the day after my official weigh-in day) the urge to …

Monday 1st March-Monday 8th March

Time just seems to fly past and Michael drops the odd hint that my blogs are not up to date – here is my attempt to rectify that. Last week proved to be a good week and I felt I was back to my pre-injury fitness level. We had a great day Friday (which sometimes can be quite difficult if you wake up with that start of the weekend feeling). Quite a long run in the park with added exercises that I must say look a lot like a Monty …

Saturday – Official Weigh-in Day!

My difficulties with losing weight mean that I treat my weight loss journey like a military campaign. I know I shouldn’t (sorry Michael) and I’m trying to wean myself from the habit of weighing every day. It has some advantages especially when I introduce new food or exercise, but of course it has disadvantages.
OK, enough already with the preamble. Get on with it woman!
I weighed today and I’m a happy bunny. I’ve lost 1.2 kg, that is 2.64 lbs. I’m happy with that.
I’m not being a party pooper but of …
